Just the beginning

On Monday, October 24, 2011, Maggie began her intensive feeding therapy program at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital.  We entered with trepidation but a lot of hope.  Since Monday she has been in 3 days with 4 feeding sessions each day.  She has let nothing new pass her lips.  I am feeling very discouraged tonight and praying for a miracle.  They did evaluate her in OT and found some lack of strength related to eating so they started OT today in between feeding sessions.  We knew this was going to be hard but with the added stress of trying to keep our 6 year old feeling okay and getting us through these long days is already taking its toll.  Maybe tomorrow I will wake up tomorrow with a brighter outlook.  I hope.
